IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FILING DEADLINE FOR REPORTING YOUR CLEs:
The filing deadline for Category 1 attorneys reporting CLE compliance in 2009 is August 30, 2009. Board Rule 9B provides for a 60-day filing period. You do not need to request an extension during this filing period. The Rules do not require that you report your compliance by June 30, 2009 (the last day of the reporting period.) In addition, if you have not met your CLE requirements by June 30, 2009, you may complete them between July 1, 2009 and August 30, 2009 without requesting a formal extension from the Board. You must enter your courses through OASIS or submit your Affidavit of CLE Compliance by August 30, 2009, or you will be subject to a $50 late filing fee. Project SALUTE

Webinar on Federal Disability and Pension Benefits Cases

June 17 & 18 from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Project SALUTE is program developed by the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law to assist Veterans in Federal Disability and Pension Benefits matters.

Topics covered include:

  • The process of obtaining benefits
  • Why claims are denied
  • Methods of obtaining evidence in support of a claim
  • Appealing a denied claim

The training is free for attorneys volunteering to handle one or more Veterans Benefit claim.
