Christy SzittaAs Housing Law Resource Attorney, Christy Szitta supports VLN's housing programs including assisting volunteer attorneys, developing procedures and materials that ensure quality services, and creating settings that allow volunteers to assist low income clients. Housing programs include landlord/tenant, foreclosure prevention, and real estate law. Her work helps to ensure that VLN continues to provide quality services to low Christy started working at VLN in March 2009, after practicing real estate law at a large Minneapolis law firm for more than four years. Christy started her law career in intellectual property law at the Minneapolis office of a national law firm. Christy attended Macalester College and the University of Minnesota Law School. Christy has been a VLN Housing Court Project volunteer and also represented a guardian ad litem in a child protection proceeding. Christy served as a board member and president of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation.
